Durham Teacher of the Year: Voting for Trump is ‘Synonymous’ with Racism

DURHAM – The Bull City is one of the Wokest in North Carolina, to be sure, and you’ll find quite a few of the Woke hold teaching positions in public schools there. After the admittedly wild presidential debate Tuesday night, one of those teachers demonstrated her Woke credentials by asserting that a vote for Donald Trump is “synonymous” with racist policies and actions. And all emanating from a tortured misrepresentation of Trump’s answer to a purposely loaded question by moderator third debater Chris Wallace.

Wow; that would certainly be shocking news to all the enthusiastic black Trump supporters out there. It’d be quite a surprise to civil rights legends like North Carolina native Clarence Henderson. The assertion would certainly furrow the brow of all the black leaders associated with the 1776 Unites project.

But in Durham, where the Woke rule, this kind of thinking is embraced. So much so, that adherents to this deluded frame of mind are not just some fringe crackpots, but recipients of Teacher of the Year awards.

Let’s hear it for Durham Public Schools 2020-2021 Teacher of the Year!

Superintendent of Durham Public Schools Pascal Mubenga called White a “consummate professional and a powerful teacher.”

From the Durham Public Schools website:

“White is the English department chair at CMA, where she teaches grades 9-12 and has consistently exceeded expectations for her students’ academic growth in English II for the last five years. She also works as an advocate at Student U, conducting weekly meetings with five students, communicating with their families, and creating individually-tailored academic improvement plans. She is a curriculum writer and professional development facilitator of Inquiry-Based Learning.”

“Before she begins to teach content, she works diligently to build a relationship with each individual student,” said her principal, Dr. Jackie Tobias. “Ms. White takes the time to understand who her students are, what motivates them, and where their passions lie.”

Do you think a student who doesn’t equate Trump with virulent racism would feel comfortable revealing themselves to this teacher? Imagine if you’re a Trump-supporting family, with a child in this teacher’s class? Or a black student who is interested in the Trump-supporting black counter-culture currently destroying the myth of the black monolith?

Mrs. White may think they do not exist; how very racist of her, if that’s the case.

In fact, a recent poll found that one in five black male college students support Trump. White has been teaching in Durham for seven years; what are the chances that a Trump supporting black student has passed through her classes on their way to college?

If there were ever an argument for school choice, this is it.

Ladies and gentleman, one more time for the 2020-2021 Durham Public Schools Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Taylor-Grace White!
