RALEIGH – Now that the election for N.C. Supreme Court is over and the Leftist media got what they wanted in the form of a Social Justice Warrior intent on legislating progressive policy from the bench, they can finally report basic truths on the candidate responsible for securing the win.
As it turns out, Chris Anglin’s campaign was funded by big time Democrats – SHOCKER.
“Controversial state Supreme Court candidate Chris Anglin’s campaign finance report is finally public, and his top funders by far were major players in local Democratic politics.
Anglin’s campaign also appears to have violated state campaign finance law by filing its report by mail, instead of electronically, which is required of statewide campaigns that raise more than $5,000.
As a result, voters went to the polls Tuesday without knowing who funded Anglin’s campaign, which raised more than $17,000. Most of that money came from one couple: Dean and Sesha Debnam, significant donors to Democratic candidates.
Anglin ran as a Republican, but he was disavowed by the state party and widely considered a Democratic plant meant to divide GOP votes and help Democrat Anita Earls beat incumbent Republican Justice Barbara Jackson in a three-way race.”
We warned about Chris Anglin from the beginning, after his late hour party switch and filing as a second Republican on the ballot with the help of a longtime Democratic strategist, but the loophole they exploited couldn’t be closed. What could have helped the voting public be informed would have been the political media covering the race to be honest about Anglin’s purpose and shaming him into a low vote count.
The WRAL’s of the state, though, were complicit in that they fully supported the election of Anita Earls and her social justice agenda. Now they’re pointing out that Anglin was a fraud only after the election has passed and the spoiler served its purpose.
The Anglin case should be a lesson to Republican powers that Democrats will go as low as they need to in order to win elections and power, so you’d better have everything buttoned up and especially avoid handing them opportunities to exploit.
