RALEIGH – It’s a well-worn truth that most politicians will do what benefits them without hesitation, even if that means directly conflicting with their past statements and actions. Congressional Democrats and border walls, for instance. We might be adding another example of this under Gov. Roy Cooper’s file – records indicate that when a 2010 election fraud case was referred to then-attorney general Roy Cooper for prosecution, he did nothing.
Fast forward to the elections of 2018, and Roy Cooper has been a lead vocalist in the chorus on the Left calling for the book to be thrown at the campaign of Republican Mark Harris over allegations of absentee ballot fraud.
Records from @NCSBE show 2010 election fraud case involving probation/parole officer was handed over to SBI. SBI just told me their investigation was referred to the NC Attorney General but case was not prosecuted. I’ve asked the AG office for info on why. @wsoctv #NC09 #ncpol pic.twitter.com/sd0SarLhzU

Good question – why did Cooper’s agency not prosecute this case?
I also spoke with the former @NCSBE investigator, Marshall Tutor, who told me he questioned MCCrae Dowless in 2010 about allegations of vote buying, which Dowless denied. Tutor says no one would go on record & give statements that they were paid. @wsoctv #NC09 #ncpol https://t.co/s999nyxSw2
