Democrats in Virginia Propose Law Allowing Abortions Mere Seconds Before Birth

RICHMOND, VA – You’ve likely heard about the law New York recently passed that lifted all serious restrictions on abortion, allowing mothers to abort their babies for nearly any reason. It’s abhorrent and sad, but it’s the kind of progressive pro-abortion move we’ve come to expect from the far Left states. But it’s not just New York; the purple Commonwealth of Virginia is also pushing the envelope when it comes to extreme pro-abortion legislation.

This week Democrats in the Virginia state legislature introduced a bill that would allow for abortions up to the second before birth. Admitted by the bill sponsor herself is the fact that the proposed law does not limit the time horizon for abortions in any way. If the baby is not physically out of the birth canal, the proposed law would allow the killing of him or her.

In the video below, shared on Twitter by the VA House GOP caucus, you can watch the bill sponsor face tough questions about just what limits, if any, the bill would put on abortion time horizons.

While conservatives in the South East  and elsewhere, accept that places like California and New York are incubators for radical Leftists, it is alarming to know that this type of immoral law has even minimal support in a state just to our north.

From 70 percent income tax rates, to eliminating all private healthcare, to rationalizing the murder of children in the womb – many Democrats are straining to push the ‘Overton window‘ as far Left as possible.

In so doing they are seeking to destroy the principles of liberty, limited-government, and, worst of all, the very sanctity of life. If there was ever a movement needed to re-calibrate the nation on these founding principles, it is now.
