Dark Money: Swiss Billionaires, the NC Democratic Party, and Obama’s Disgraced AG

RALEIGH – If you think North Carolina is not a key target of national Democrat ‘strategists,’ you’ve not been paying attention. The Old North State is emerging as critical in national contests for the White House, and it’s potential purple hue has enticed the special interests on the Left exploit narratives and court cases until it’s painted blue.

North State Journal’s A.P. Dillon details recent revelations of how dark money interests on the Left have gone to Carolina to elect activists judges and launch lawsuit after lawsuit on everything from voting rules to legislative maps. And it seems like they’re just getting started.

From NSJ:

“A report detailing millions of dollars being channeled into a Democrat redistricting group led by former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder has implications for North Carolina.

The Washington Free Beacon recently reported that the “Berger Action Fund, the advocacy arm of Swiss megadonor Hansjörg Wyss’s Wyss Foundation, passed $3 million to the National Redistricting Action Fund (NRAF) between 2018 and 2020.” […]”

This is the group headed up by disgraced former Obama attorney general Eric Holder, who is very much still in the mix when it comes to behind the scenes strategies for Democratic takeovers. We’ve already been subject to their attention during the most recent round of redistricting lawsuits; and now we face a new census and associated redistricting for the Left to manufacture a crisis around.

Indeed, it looks like some of the Swiss billionaire’s donation could have come to North Carolina. The group gave gobs to the N.C. Democratic Party, and specifically supported one George Soros sanctioned Supreme Court candidate that’s as radical as they come.

“[…] Holder, the only U.S. attorney general ever to be held in contempt of Congress, is the chairman for the NDRC. Under Holder, the group made two $250,000 donations to the N.C. Democratic Party during the 2018 election cycle. One donation came in June and a second in September of that year.

The NDRC made only one donation directly to a North Carolina candidate during the 2018 cycle, giving $5,200 to then-N.C. Supreme Court candidate Anita Earls.

Holder had campaigned with Earls during 2018, and she won her race. The year prior, in 2017, Holder and Gov. Roy Cooper co-headlined the annual NCDP Unity Dinner held in Raleigh. […]”

Earls made her mark as a social justice warrior, leading the charge against racist policies like voter ID and embodying much of the Woke moment we’ve been living through. In that regard, having her elected to the N.C. Supreme Court is a grand success for the Left, but they are hardly finished.

Dillon goes on to detail how Marc Elias (OF COURSE!) is working with the NDRC to file lawsuits to knee-cap Republican redistricting efforts and bully and smear their way into more favorable legislative maps. Sue til Blue.

Unfortunately, we’ve seen this movie before.
