Dan Forest Celebrates Women’s Suffrage, Honors Trailblazing Mother, While Democrats Try to ‘Cancel’ Susan B. Anthony

RALEIGH – The ability to vote in Democratic elections is something many of us take for granted in the 21st Century, but the trail for universal suffrage was blazed by brave pioneers that knew just how important it such a franchise was.

Dan Forest may have a special sense of it, too, as his mother, Sue Myrick was the first female mayor of Charlotte and the first Congresswoman elected in North Carolina. Forest celebrated women’s suffrage, and the Aug. 18, 1920 adoption of the 19th Amendment recognizing women’s right to vote, by honoring his mother.

Long before Myrick, trailblazers like Susan B. Anthony, the famous suffragette arrested for illegally voting in 1872 when only white men were allowed to vote, carved a path for universal suffrage and participation in politics. As a result of that 1872 arrest, Anthony was fined, and proudly lived the rest of her life without paying that fine. That technically gave her a criminal record for voting, so what better way to honor women’s suffrage than to pardon Anthony on the anniversary of the 19th Amendment?

That’s exactly what President Donald Trump did, in addition to hosting an event and signing a proclamation in honor of women’s suffrage.

And now (surprise, surprise) imbeciles on the Left are trying to cancel Susan B. Anthony — because, “sHe WaS rAcIsT!”

So, is it that the Left wants to blindly attack anything or anyone that Trump praises? Or is that the Woke Level has reached 11, such that the Left wants to cancel literal abolitonists.

This is a microcosm of the philosophical space we are living through in 2020, where the Woke Marxism tears down everything in order to….do something Utopian to relieve the oppressed.

Meanwhile, Republicans like Donald Trump and Dan Forest stand out front, tall, and confident in the moral foundations America’s successes –like suffrage for women — are all built upon.
