RALEIGH – The problems keep piling up for Cal Cunningham, but none he didn’t create for himself. According to WBTV, the Army Veteran and reservist is under investigation by the U.S. Army Reserve for the reported adultery that is currently wrecking his campaign.

“[…] In a statement Wednesday, a spokesman for the Army Reserve confirmed an investigation into Cunningham’s alleged extramarital affair.
“The Army Reserve is investigating the matters involving Lt. Col. James Cunningham. As such, we are unable to provide further details at this time,” Army Reserve spokesman Lt. Col. Simon Flake said in a statement to WBTV.
Adultery is a violation of the Uniform Code of Military Justice. It is not clear whether Cunningham’s alleged conduct would violate the UCMJ. […]”
Well, it seems sexual affairs with women that are not your wife would qualify as adultery, no?
And Cunningham should know. Far from the warrior he is presented as in his campaign ads, he is an attorney that is currently assigned to the 134 Legal Operations Detachment based at Fort Bragg.
