There are rumblings yet again about a repeal of House Bill 2, (HB 2) in North Carolina. Gov. Roy Cooper has once more brought the issue to the forefront, and his words paint a picture of General Assembly leadership itching to move ahead with a repeal.
Should conservatives feel let down or disappointed if HB 2 is repealed? Lt. Gov. Dan Forest was a guest on “What Matters in North Carolina” on January 18, and said, “Yes, I think there’s no doubt about that.”
Forest added, The people of North Carolina especially who have fought so hard just to protect what is right and what we know is right, they’re going to be very disappointed with this if a repeal goes through with no plan in place to keep it from happening again.
