WASHINGTON, D.C. – Ringleader Adam Schiff (D-CA) kicked off the first live performance of The Big Impeachment Show Wednesday with laughable allusions to the founding fathers and non-existent case for removing President Donald Trump other than the Democrats’ loathing of him. As expected the “star witnesses” gave testimonies made up entirely of their opinion and hearsay, and some wreaked of resenting the president based on an entitled sense of authority over foreign policy. Such is the result of a government that has become so big that it takes on life of its own, which can only be sustained at the people’s expense.
While the Democrats’ counsel coached the witnesses into what Schiff wanted them to say, in some cases literally putting words in their mouths, Republicans took advantage of the opportunity to obliterate the Democrats’ sham impeachment narrative and take apart the witness testimony piece by piece. None did this better than Reps. Devin Nunes (R-CA) and Jim Jordan (R-OH), the latter of which utterly and succinctly destroyed Schiff’s star witness.
