Climate Hysteria Celebrity Greta Thunberg to Join Climate Strike in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE – Several weeks ago a young girl named Greta Thunberg addressed an assembly of the United Nations and proceeded to hysterically excoriate the world leaders for not doing enough about climate change, and thereby dooming her generation. You might better remember her picture.

This image perfectly sums up environmental kool-aid drinkers lecturing the rest of us pretty well. And Thursday climaste activists in the Queen City will be graced with her presence as they engage in a ‘Climate Strike.’

“Greta Thunberg, the 16-year-old student from Sweden who captured the world’s attention after shaming climate change negotiators at a United Nations climate summit, is coming to North Carolina.

Thunberg, who describes herself as a “climate and environmental activist with Asperger’s,” said on Twitter that she plans to join the climate strike in Charlotte from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center. […]”

The climate strike in Charlotte is part of the reanimation of the Man-made Global Warming Hoax that Thunberg helped kick off. While the alarmism is dismissed by many, it’s also met with antipathy by others. Do they care? Sure, but they don’t want to be soaked with taxes so activists like Thunberg can pretend they are solving a made up problem.

There is a reason the movement is focused on youth, and it’s beyond the ‘next generation’ platitudes. Like much of the Radical Left’s twisted agenda, the Man-made Global Warming Hoax thrives on the ignorance and emotion of youth, who also serve to insulate the push from criticism. No one likes being ‘against children’ no matter how much ignorance and innocence are conflated as they’re trotted out for a political cause.

Yet, ironically, when it comes to children, these same people think there ought to be less of them…a lot less. This week a group of scientists joined together to call for population reduction. They say there needs to be far fewer people on Earth if we’re to beat the climate crisis. Sure, why don’t y’all go first?

Such views, which are being promoted more and more by the environmental Left, are a throwback to the Malthusian population bomb theories that always seem to be proven completely false. Worse, though, the acceptance of such a premise is a first step that these Big Government types take toward deciding who can have children and who cannot. Make no mistake, the prescription called for by climate alarmists can only be filled by utter authoritarianism and a complete abandonment of individual rights and liberty.

It’s almost as if the movement was designed for just that purpose…
