CHARLOTTE – The right to life is facing incredible pressure around the country as radical leftists cheer the passage of extreme pro-abortion laws in places like New York and Vermont. In North Carolina, Democrat Governor Roy Cooper just vetoed a bill requiring babies that survive abortions to be given medical care just like any other vulnerable new born baby. And despite pro-abortion groups claims that they are merely standing up for women’s rights, an abortionist in the Queen City is literally shouting that people should rape women and then send them to his clinic for an abortion.
“On April 20, 2019, Ron Virmani, the abortionist who works at A Preferred Women’s Health Center on Latrobe Drive in Charlotte called out to Cities4Life volunteers, “Rape them, and send them here!” He has said this multiple times, but was caught on video doing so this time. This is a man who has no admitting privileges to any area hospitals and has lost his license in the past due to sexual misconduct.
Does that sound like the words one would desire of a provider in an industry that claims to protect women’s rights and choices?

Making matters worse is the fact that the Charlotte City Council – that honorable municipal body that passed ordinances to force private businesses to allow men to use women’s bathrooms in their establishment or be fined for ‘discrimination’ against transgender folks – is attempting to establish a 200 foot buffer to keep pro-life volunteers out of earshot of those entertaining the act of aborting their baby.

We in North Carolina are definitely not far removed from the battle for life. As more and more attention is paid to the extreme nature of the abortion industry, and abortion advocates, we must move to protect those that cannot protect themselves. Fortunately, the majority of Americans recognize abortion, especially late-term abortion, for what it is. Those sentiments, however, must be translated into legislative action to protect the unborn and force the issue of life in the court system.
Or are we just supposed to accept, as a fact of life in North Carolina, that an abortionist is suggesting women be raped so he can perform their abortion?
