Burr Bolsters Democrats’ Impeachment Narrative, ‘Many More Questions’ After DNI Chief Testimony

WASHINGTON, D.C. – In what feels like is shaping up to be a redux of Trump/Russia collusion farce, with a Ukrainian twist and far less meat, Democrats are receiving cover for their impeachment push by Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC).

After the acting intel chief testified before Burr’s committee, the Senator said it raised ‘many more questions’ and that the committee would ‘get to the bottom of it.’ That’s all the Democrats and the media friends need to tout a Republican leader expressing alarm at the manufactured controversy and furthering their narrative. They’ll treat Burr as a ‘good Republican’ and show him with supportive op-eds as long as he’s helping to undermine Trump, whether he’s aware of it or not.

It was only just recently that Burr and his intel committee wrapped up a mindnumbingly drawn out Russia investigation, similarly helping to perpetuate the hoax through out with similar comments along the way. And it sounds like Burr is interested in dragging out an investigation into the Ukraine sham and thus keeping the Democrats’ narrative alive.

From Talking Points Memo:

“[…] The committee is committed to make sure that we get to the bottom of what questions we need answers,” Burr said.

He warned that the committee would not be moving at “light speed” like its counterpart in the House, but said the committee staff will be “extremely busy for the next couple weeks” while the Senate is on recess. […]”

Great. With recent history as context, ‘Not light speed’ for Burr’s committee means we could be in for a year of investigations to rehash the same provably false impeachment smear.

The only silver lining that could possibly come from the Senate Intel Committee’s further looking into the matter would be if they actually follow the facts connected to subject of then Vice President Joe Biden, his son Hunter Biden, and the scandal involving a corruption investigation, a sacked Ukrainian prosecutor on the Hunter Biden’s tail, and a topped off by nearly $2 billion of U.S. taxpayer money that mysteriously disappeared into a bank owned by a Ukrainian oligarch.

THESE are the questions the American people deserve answers too. In answering those questions, any concerns over what Trump was discussing with the Ukrainians should also be alleviated as it becomes clear the president was doing exactly what a president should be doing.

In the meantime, expect Senator Burr to provide a salivating D.C. press pool with quotes to keep the impeachment crowd drooling.
