BREAKING: Trump Announces RNC 2020 Leaving North Carolina

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Well, it looks like Party Pooper Cooper has forced the 2020 Republican National Convention out of North Carolina because he couldn’t bring himself to loosen his authoritarian grip on North Carolina. President Donald Trump announced Tuesday evening that the huge political event worth millions in economic impact will be moving to another state.

Governor Roy Cooper has yet to lift arbitrary mandates on mass gatherings (at least the ones he doesn’t agree with) implemented under a Pandemic Panic-inspired state of emergency. He equivocated about assembly and social distancing restrictions when the RNC and Trump asked for guarantees for a full scale convention. Cooper held out the possibility for suppressing the convention of tens of thousands of people to much fewer people with a litany of restrictions, and thus suppressing Democrats’ political opposition.

Cooper’s fans on the Left urged him to call Trump’s bluff. The president wasn’t bluffing. The convention is moving to another state and North Carolina, and the Charlotte area specifically, will miss out on tens of millions in economic impact and hosting one of the most notable reelection conventions in the modern political era.

Because Governor Cooper wants to retain his illegitimate authority to tell all of us how many people we can be around, where we can go, what we can do. If you’re pushing his agenda, these restrictions need not apply, but if you’re not….well, you’ll be forbidden by royal decree executive order and threatened with arrest.

Thanks, Governor Cooper!
