CONCORD – The 2018 NCGOP convention is really about building a Republican groundswell for 2020, and that includes attracting black voters to the Republican platform by drawing attention to how that platform resonates in ways Leftists can only pretend to. That’s what Black Americans to Re-elect the President is hoping to contribute toward in holding a machine gun social during the convention starting next week.
As the group puts it, “the 2nd Amendment of one of several issues that allow us to get 20% of the black vote. All voters including black voters want to defend their families from criminals and citizens from tyranny.”
This approach to minority outreach, as it were, is the right one. It doesn’t shy away from core principles in an attempt to pander to minority voters in the same way the Left does. Instead, it embraces those core principles in recognition of the fact that they represent a foundation for individual liberty regardless of skin color or background.
The machine gun social will offer a chance to shoot a range of of machine guns, and qualify to win an AR-15, for the price of a $50 ticket.
“Our event is 6pm June 7th during the North Carolina GOP’s state convention in Concord. Eagle Guns is a 10 minute drive from the convention venue.
Which guns. Most submachine guns you can shoot a magazine of 30 rounds for $50 including a Finnish KP-44, the iconic German MP-40, a fully automatic AR-15, a WWII Beretta 38/42 and the old reliable Thompson submachine gun.
For $75 you can shoot a Browning Automatic Rifle (18 rds).”
Black Americans to Re-Elect the President Founder Vernon Robinson, a Republican activist, said that the added bonus to such an event is that it drives the Left crazy. Previously, Robinson got denounced by the Queen of the Progressive Left, MSNBC host Rachel Maddow for a similar event – that’s essentially a badge of honor. It comes in addition to recruiting more Americans of all stripes to see what the Republican platform is really all about.
