WASHINGTON, D.C. – They craziness emanating from the Democratic presidential candidates is making for some interesting battles on the Left as the radicalism opens up intra-party fissures as they scramble to find someone that can beat Donald Trump. There are a few people the Left and the media would champion if they entered the race, but those aren’t the ones answering the call. Instead, the extremity of Sanders and Warren has enticed former New York City mayor and billionaire Michael Bloomberg into the scrum.
From ABC 11:
Bloomberg is not really going to excite the Left’s base, even if it does provide a “sensible” alternative to the blatant socialism being sold by leading Democratic contenders. That is saying something, too, sense Bloomberg has been a leading proponent of extreme gun control, perpetuates demonizing capitalism via climate change hysteria, and was notorious for his Big Brother record as mayor. That would hardly be considered a moderate Democrat primary option not that long ago, illustrating how far left the Democratic Party has moved in recent years.
And while Bloomberg and Trump-haters are apt to think the self-funding billionaire can go toe-to-toe with Donald Trump, his entrance merely throws the Democratic primary into more desperate disarray.
