Biden and Trump Both to Visit Queen City This Week, More Surrogate Events Across State

CHARLOTTE – While President Donald Trump has already been to North Carolina a handful of times this campaign season, with a raucous rally in Fayetteville over the weekend, Democratic nominee Joe Biden will be ridin’ to the Old North State for the first time this week. The former vice president will be visiting Charlotte, and, not to be outworked, Trump will be in the Queen City as well on Thursday.

“President Donald Trump will visit Charlotte on Thursday to discuss his administration’s action and vision in delivering quality healthcare at low costs.

The president, who was just in Fayetteville on Saturday, has made North Carolina a priority ahead of Election Day, visiting the state one day after Democratic presidential challenger Joe Biden’s first campaign stop in the state.

This will be President Trump’s 14th official visit to North Carolina.

A White House source told ABC11’s Jonah Kaplan that President Trump has fought to improve coverage options and the quality of care for Americans of all ages and backgrounds, and has protected those with pre-existing conditions.

“Since taking office, President Trump has worked to improve care for our seniors, signing an executive order to protect and improve the Medicare program that has helped make coverage more affordable and helped pave the way for access to the most innovative technologies.” the source said. […]”

There weren’t many details available about the Biden visit. So, we’re left to assume it will be more of the same. The Biden campaign maybe encouraged by polls that show him with a small lead in North Carolina, but, having lived through the polls and election results of 2016, it’s probably not smart to draw confidence from those.

The Trump campaign certainly isn’t taking any chances as they pepper the swing states with official visits from the president himself, as well as lots of surrogate events.

Multiple Trump coalition teams have events planned for this week in North Carolina. Lara Trump, a North Carolina native, will be joined by YouTube personalities Diamond & Silk in Summerfield for a Women for Trump event Tuesday evening. , and the same group will be on the road then to Greenville for another Women for Trump event Wednesday afternoon.
