ALIPAC Endorsed Tillis Primary Challenger Larry Holmquist

RALEIGH – Even though the best funded primary challenge to U.S. Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC) bowed out of the race months ago with the exit of Raleigh businessman Garland Tucker, there are still candidates vying to edge out Tillis next week. One of them, Larry Holmquist, just received the endorsement of Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC), giving him a boost among conservative immigration hawks displeased with Tillis’ record on the issue.

From ALIPAC:

“[…] Incumbent Republican US Senators Thom Tillis (R-NC) and Lamar Alexander (R-TN) support Amnesty for millions of illegal aliens.

More than 80% of Republicans and two thirds of all of their constituents back home oppose Amnesty for illegals.

That is why ALIPAC is endorsing two GOP challengers who oppose Amnesty and illegal immigration, and are running against Tillis and Alexander today.

ALIPAC is endorsing GOP Primary challenger Larry Holmquist in North Carolina, who faces Amnesty backing incumbent Thom Tillis in the March 3 primary, and Aaron Pettigrew in Tennessee, who faces Amnesty backing incumbent Lamar Alexander in August. Both candidates have completed ALIPAC’s federal candidate surveys indicating they oppose Amnesty and visa expansion bills in DC.

Pettigrew and Holmquist will be added to ALIPAC’s growing list of endorsed federal candidates for 2020 (View Here) and the national organization’s supporters will be asked to donate to, volunteer for, and vote for Larry Holmquist and Aaron Pettigrew for US Senate.

Numbers USA has Larry Holmquist listed as a True Reformer on immigration issues while giving incumbent Thom Tillis a D- grade on immigration issues. (View)

We are thankful to have candidates like Pettigrew and Holmquist who offer Republican voters a choice against Amnesty for illegals,” said William Gheen, President of ALIPAC.us. “It is hard to win against corrupt Amnesty supporting incumbent Senators like Thom Tillis and Lamar Alexander because they are rewarded with vast amounts of money from DC special interests that profit from illegal immigration and don’t care how many Americans are displaced, raped, injured, or killed by their illegal aliens. Tillis and Alexander work for the open-borders banks, chambers of commerce, farmers, and other industries, and they are willing to hand control of North Carolina and Tennessee to the Democrats through their Amnesty legislation, which would create millions of new Democrat voters and welfare dependents.

Incumbents like North Carolina Senator Thom Tillis and Tennessee Senator Lamar Alexander are two of the most notorious Amnesty supporting Republicans in Washington, DC!

Tennessee Senator Lamar Alexander was one of 14 Republican Senators who voted with Democrats for the Gang of Eight Amnesty bill. More recently, he has joined the new gang of eight trying to help Democrat Senator Chuck Schumer pass Amnesty for illegals.

North Carolina Senator Thom Tillis is currently leading the way in Washington to persuade President Trump and other Republicans to pass the Orwellian-named Farm Workforce Modernization Act (H.R. 5038), which Democrats passed in the House with bipartisan support. This bill grants amnesty to every illegal alien in America willing to claim to have worked at least part-time for agriculture, and creates an unlimited agriculture guest worker program for the future to bring in millions of low-skilled workers.

ALIPAC hopes Americans will send Senators Thom Tillis and Lamar Alexander a clear message that most of our citizens oppose the Amnesty legislation for illegals they support by backing the campaigns of Larry Holmquist and Aaron Pettigrew for US Senate. […]”

Holmquist and the other primary candidates still face a seemingly insurmountable challenge in defeating the well funded incumbent senator with President Donald Trump’s backing. At the very least, the Republican primary voters that help Tillis sport the worst approval numbers of any senator in the country will have an opportunity to express their disapproval.
