WASHINGTON, D.C. – At 20 weeks gestation, according to the latest scientific evidence, is the point at which unborn children begin to feel pain. Approximately 60 percent of Americans support a 20 week abortion ban. 60 percent was also the required threshold for the United States Senate to advance the Pain Capable Act, but Tuesday’s vote only garnered 51 senators in support, with two Republicans voting against it.
“Two Republican senators helped kill a 20-week abortion ban in the Senate on Monday evening.
The Senate voted 51-46 in favor of the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, which was short of the 60 votes required to proceed to a final vote under current Senate rules.
Republican Sens. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Susan Collins of Maine both voted against the bill, which would have prohibited abortions on unborn babies after 20 weeks, the age at which they can feel pain, with exceptions in cases rape, incest or to save the life of the mother.”
Murkowski and Collins are infamous for spoiling Republican legislation due to their Leftist leanings. In this case, they leaned toward allowing violent abortions unborn babies when those babies can feel what is being done to them.
Obviously, Democrats are right there with them, cheering on abortion and protecting the barbaric practice despite their claims to representing the vulnerable among us. Many of them are in states that Trump won in 2016, and thus at risk of being unseated.
“Pro-life advocacy group Susan B. Anthony List immediately announced the organization would target four Democratic senators from Trump states who opposed the ban and are up for re-election in 2020: Sherrod Brown from Ohio, Claire McCaskill of Missouri, North Dakota’s Heidi Heitkamp and Montana’s Jon Tester.”
Three Democrats did the right thing and voted for the Pain Capable Act – Joe Manchin of West Virginia, Joe Donelly of Indiana, and Bob Casey of Pennsylvania.
Leftists callcall the 20 week ban a ‘radical’ infringement on women’s choice, and are cheering its defeat.
Cheering – for the continued killing of unborn children.
