Trump Acquitted (Again), Burr Votes Guilty

WASHINGTON, D.C. – After some late inning dramatics in the impeachment saga, the U.S. Senate voted Saturday to acquit private citizen Donald Trump of the ridiculous impeachment charge that his relatively sleepy January 6 speech, and his audacity in alleging election fraud, made him directly guilty of inciting an insurrection.

A total of 57 senators voted guilty, including Senator Richard Burr (R-NC), who plans to retire after the end of his term in 2022.

Democrats, despite the inevitable failure to convict, seem content to have taken center stage to perform the final act of the smear campaign against Trump, his supporters, and those that dare challenge the cabal in Washington, D.C.

Establishment Republicans too — the seven that voted to convict, and Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) — piled on. McConnell’s floor speech, laughably asserting there was ‘no question whatsoever’ that Trump was ‘practically and morally responsible’ for the advent of January 6, could have just as easily been given by Chuck Schumer or Nancy Pelosi.

Beyond the charge of inciting insurrection, the larger takeaway is this: The common thread in the condemnation of Donald Trump is the not-so-subtle declaration that pursuing legitimate grievances of election fraud, held by millions of people, supported by far more evidence than most care to admit, is tantamount to insurrection against the nation.

Donald Trump, his unconventional MAGA presidency, his indignant Everyman he represents, and all of his America First policies; the cabal seeks to permanently issue a fatal blow to all of it. For them, it’s survival, because Trump threatened their existence in power and subsistence from the Washington machine at the expense of the American people.

Of course, Donald Trump is more than just one man, politically speaking.

Trump is easily tens of millions of American voters whose indignation has only hardened as they quite literally get persecuted by the Washington and Media elite for daring to question the narrative fed to them and having the audacity to stand up for ideas that empower the Individual, instead of institutions.

That means 2022 elections won’t just be an opportunity for a ‘Red Wave’ over Democrats. These midterm elections are set up more akin to the Tea Party wave of 2010, in which incumbent, establishment, swampy Republicans that supported the years long campaign to oust and end Donald Trump will be primary targets.

The Great Smear of Donald Trump will result in a MAGA wave in 2022, despite the designs of Mitch McConnell and Nancy Pelosi and the rest of the Washington, D.C. cabal.

As for Senator Richard Burr; we expect he’s hearing a loud message from N.C. Republican voters about now. The reaction is warranted, but Burr’s action isn’t necessarily surprising.

Burr has, for years now, served to breath life into the longest and most fanciful smear against Trump, “investigating” the Russia collusion hoax as chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee. He kept that sham investigation alive long after the conclusions were absolutely clear, because he sympathized more with the politically interested leadership of the intelligence agencies, Deep State actors, and Washington institutions than he did with the People who put Trump (and him) in office.

How swampy do you think Burr’s post-senate career will be?
