CRACKING UNDER PRESSURE: Linda Devore Ambushes Patrick Petsche At HD44 Early Voting Site

NC HOUSE 44 – The Republican primary for N.C. House District 44 features one young, smart, liberty-minded, Constitutionalist (Patrick Petsche), and one late filer that takes offense to the term RINO and apparently can’t handle being called out on her record of voting for Democrats (Linda Devore).

We covered here how Devore filed at the last minute after reading that Petsche said in an interview that he wouldn’t sacrifice his principles to RINOs. That was offensive language to Devore.

We also documented her record of voting in the 2006 and 2008 DEMOCRATIC primaries, and then registered a unaffiliated for years afterward. Petsche publicly questioned her conservative credentials based on that voting record, which, as the video below shows, rattled Devore so much that she ambushed him at an early voting site this week.

Devore previously attempted to explain her Democratic primary votes as an effort to manipulate the primary between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. Not only does that not explain the 2006 vote, it would also mean she should have a grasp on who she actually voted for in 2008 in order to affect her purpose. She says she doesn’t remember.

She also claims that there were no competitive Republican primaries to vote in, but those years clearly had a full hopper of Republican primaries up and down the ballot for statewide races. You know, the kind of races that mean so much for the direction of the Republican Party in the Old North State.

More importantly, why did Devore actually leave the Republican Party for so long?

God forbid conservatives question her principles when she A) cringes in offense at the term RINO, B) Voted in multiple Democrat primaries, and C) left the Republican Party at one time.

Further, he stance on gun rights and disregard for due process would be enough to give any Second Amendment advocate pause.

That a candidate would become so rattled as to make a scene at an early voting site over FACTUAL information that invites questions as to her political leanings makes one wonder how she could handle a heated partisan general election.

The decision looks pretty easy here for House District 44.
