58 Inmates Claim It’s Their Constitutional Right To Watch Porn In Prison

A whopping 58 inmates in Iowa are suing state officials, claiming they have a constitutional right to watch porn in prison after the state passed a law banning pornography in it’s prisons, KCRG-TV reported.

The new law, which took effect on November 14th, banned designated “pornography reading rooms” in prisons, and even prohibited inmates from having Playboy magazines and nude photos in their cells.

According to KCRG, the legislation, which was part of a justice system budget bill, banned funds appropriated to the Iowa Department of Corrections from being used to distribute or make available any commercially published material or information that is sexually explicit or features nudity.

In their lawsuit, the inmates claim the law went into effect because of “religious tyrants” who the inmates feel do not have any regard for the Declaration of Independence or Constitution.
