On to the second matchup in our North Carolina Conservative Super 16 Challenge!
In this matchup, we have the number 2 seed, Lt. Gov. Dan Forest squaring off against the 15 seed, Senator Richard Burr.
- Lt. Gov. Dan Forest – In his quest for reelection in 2016, Dan Forest secured more votes than any Republican on the ballot here in North Carolina. Not even President Donald Trump was able to secure more votes than the two-term Lieutenant Governor. Forest has stood firm for Conservative principles throughout his time in Raleigh. While others shied away, Dan Forest was one of the most vocal and adamant advocates for House Bill 2. If you’re looking for a Conservative who’s unafraid of doing what’s right and standing for principle in the face of adversity, Lt. Gov. Dan Forest is your guy.
- Senator Richard Burr – There are few career politicians in both Raleigh and Washington who have a longer track record of abandoning Conservative principles in favor the establishment than Senator Richard Burr. In order to prove this fact, all one has to do is look to see who two of Burr’s closest friends have been since the day he stepped foot in Washington – John McCain and Lindsey Graham. With consistently failing scorecards from every Conservative organization across the country, Burr’s record speaks for it’s self. If John McCain and Lindsey Graham are your idea of Conservative standard-bearers, then go ahead and cast your vote for Senator Richard Burr.
