Pack of Leftist Cry Babies Organize To Shutdown Lara Trump ‘Culture War’ Event at NC State

RALEIGH – The president’s daughter-in-law, campaign surrogate, and North Carolina native Lara Trump is scheduled to hold a lecture at N.C. State University on Wednesday night in conjunction with conservative non-profit Turning Points USA, and it looks like there will be a throng of Leftists with hurt feelings and ironic levels of intolerance among their welcoming party.

More than just voicing their displeasure, a group of woke infants sporting a false sense of moral superiority innocuously named Stop Hate at NC State wants to literally shut the event down and prevent Lara Trump and others from speaking to a willing audience.

From a salivating INDY Week enticed by an impending social justice protest:

“Turning Point USA—a group known for a demonstration where students wore diapers to own the libs and for making racist remarks about black women having children out of wedlock—is holding a lecture at N.C. State featuring guests Charlie Kirk and Lara Trump on Wednesday night. 

Students are not happy about it. More importantly, they’re trying to stop it.

Stop Hate at NC State—a coalition formed from campus social justice groups such as the Young Democratic Socialists of America, Smash Racism Raleigh, and Planned Parenthood Generation Action—have circulated a petition to keep students’ tuition from providing facilities for “such unacceptable and dangerous hatred on [their] campus.”

So far, it’s garnered more than one thousand signatures.

“Both Turning Point USA and the speakers promote hate speech against various protected groups,” the petition reads. “As students, we strongly believe our tuition money should not go to providing security and space for an event which threatens students’ safety and has a severe impact on a secure learning environment. NC State Administration should stand with their students, not against them.” […]”

In a re-run of a scene we’ve witnessed time and again, these social justice warriors label anything they disagree with as hate speech and then employ harassment to shut it down. Some college administrations and venue managers buckle to the pressure, lest the hooligans become destructive and violent. True to form, this current call for “peaceful protest & solidarity” includes a raised, clinched fist and instructions to wear all black.

The claim that a lecture by Lara Trump and a conservative firebrand threatens the students’ safety is patently absurd, especially because the protesters themselves literally foment threats to public safety. It’s a circular bit of reasoning fitting of a group that has convinced itself there are 97 ala carte genders.

It’s fitting really, because the lecture topic is the ‘Culture War.’ Assuming the mob doesn’t succeed in intimidating the event into cancellation, the speakers will have a real life example of the idiocy infecting American culture. Because Kirk and Trump will speak the truth about this, they’ll face an attempt to censor them under duress.

“The protest will begin at 5:30 p.m. in Wolf Plaza, beside Talley Student Union, according to the Facebook event page. Students hope the university will revoke permission for this event to take place on campus, in accordance with its policies on diversity and safety.”

Whatever the case, this Orwellian snuffing out of thought the Left doesn’t approve of must never be allowed to succeed. It is a culture war, and all we have to do to win it is not go over the cliff with the rest of them.
